Family and fun attractions and activities in and Around Tenby

Our selection of Family, fun, attractions and activities to do in ad around Tenby

Rain or shine, Tenby and the surrounding area is packed with attractions and activities for little kids, big kids and those of us who are still kids at heart!

In town

For a bit of history and some lovely views take a stroll on the Tenby Ghost Walk, – great evening entertainment and light-hearted storytelling including ghosts, pirates, fairies and witches!

Tenby Leisure Centre has a large indoor pool and caters for kids during the season. Ocean Commotion, just a short walk from Tudor Square, has a fantastic ball pool experience for younger children housed within a converted church.

At Tenby Museum and Art Gallery on Castle Hill, you’ll find children well catered for with plenty to bring the history of the town to life, including dressing up, trails and quiz sheets.

Out of town

For a walk on the wild side visit Manor House Wildlife Park or Folly Farm and enjoy a close encounter with nature – from lambs, pigs, zebras, meerkats and rhinos, to the only giraffes in Wales.

Tenby’s Dinosaur Park is set in mature woodland where you can expect to spot a friendly tyrannosaurus-rex or diplodocus amongst the foliage or hop across the field to Makin’ Tracks to try out segways, quad bikes and scale model tanks.

If you don’t mind a bit of mud, Ritec Valley Quad Bikes offer suitably challenging terrain, while Battlefield Live offers a taste of combat with lasers instead of paint!

Heatherton Activity Park will keep the whole family entertained with treetop trails, paintballing, go-carting, crazy golf, a zip wire and much more.

Oakwood Theme Park is ideal if you have a head for heights! Rides called Vertigo, Megafobia and Bounce don’t leave too much to the imagination, but try Neverland and the Family Adventure Zone for less adrenaline-fueled fun!

Golf

There are three excellent golf courses in and Tenby.

Tenby Golf Club, the oldest links course in Wales, has views of the south beach and Caldey island, Trefloyne Manor is nestled in beautiful woodland and Celtic Haven, perched on a cliff top, has spectacular coastal and island views.
