Tenby Castle Beach is stunningly beautiful, and it definitely looks like it was built by design!

It’s snugly situated between North Beach and South Beach and has everything you need for a perfect day out with the family. When the tide heads out, it actually links up with South Beach for a few hours – which opens up a whole new area to explore. Either way, you’re sure to have a great time at Tenby Castle Beach!

Tenby Castle Beach is a great family day out

Say hello to our Lifeguards on Tenby Castle Beach.

Tenby Castle Beach is patrolled by lifeguards from late June until early September. They are experts on ensuring you have a safe day and will give you any useful information. Always say ‘Hello’ to them!

The scenery around Tenby is rich and varied.

The historic fort on St Catherines Island is just offshore, and Caldey Island is visible in the distance. Tenby town and harbour are to your rear, while Tenby Castle looms above on Castle Hill. With all the comings-and-goings of the boat ferrying passengers to and from Caldey Island, your eyes will not be bored.

You can walk, or swim to St Catherine’s island, for a beautiful view of Tenby. Swimming around the island is great fun. There are several places where you can jump off the rocks from a height into the sea, and caves to explore. So why not come and enjoy all that Tenby has to offer?

Castle Beach

If you fancy a break from the beach, the Tenby Museum and Art Gallery overlooks the beach and provides a wonderful history of the town through time. The Spanish and Portuguese trading ships that used to be anchored offshore are easy to imagine when you sit back on the beach and think about the exotic cargo they ferried to the beach.

The ruins of Tenby Castle offer breathtaking views of the town, beaches and out to sea. The photography from here is incredible and if you’re lucky enough to catch the sunset, you’ll be in for a real treat. With the merchant’s houses perched atop the limestone cliffs and the historic brightly-coloured houses of Tenby in the background, this is a truly stunning place to spend your day.
