Outer Reef Surfing and Paddle Boarding Centre, Pembrokeshire’s premier Surf and Paddle Boarding School offer a full range of surfing lessons,  paddle boarding and sit on top kayak sessions for all ages and abilities. The Outer Reef Surfing and Paddle Board Centre is based on the Pembrokeshire’s coastline in Wales on the westerly tip of the UK.

Outer Reef Surfing and Paddle Boarding Centre was established in 1999 and has been running Surf Lessons and Paddle Boarding Courses and offering equipment hire from our surf shops ever since.

All our surf instructors are all fully qualified ISA Surf Coaches and SLSGB beach lifeguards, who specialise in surf coach development worldwide and will run you through all stages of learning to surf and paddle board in Pembrokeshire.

Outer Reef Surfing and Paddle Boarding Centre provides all surf, paddle board and sit on top kayak equipment. We are also an official activity provider for the National Trust, and our Surf Centre is licensed by the AALA Adventure Activities Licensing.

In 2021, Outer Reef has expanded to the Marine Centre of Excellence in Saundersfoot Harbour, and also operates from the North Beach, Tenby to complement it's activity base near Freshwater West and Stackpole Quay.

EQUIPMENT HIRE

If you know the basics and want the freedom of exploring the Pembrokeshire coast on your own, then our equipment hire centres are the right option for you. You can hire wetsuit, paddle boards, bikes & kayaks starting from 1 hour up to a full day to week long packages. We will give you a short instruction, a safety briefing before you head off on your adventure. We are based in Saundersfoot Harbour in the Marine Centre of Excellence, and on the Tenby North beach harbour for wetsuit, SUP and kayak hire & for surfing equipment hire at Freshwater West or our surf shop in Pembroke.
