Description
Tenby Boat Trips operate two types of boat, both circumnavigate the dramatic and wildlife-rich South Pembrokeshire islands, Caldey and St. Margarets. Your skipper will use their local knowledge to take you to the highlights on the day; these change with the seasons, weather and tide.
Tenby Boat Trips Seal Safari
Licensed to carry 20 passengers on comfortable inboard seats, Seal Safari is suitable for all ages. We leave Tenby Harbour daily on one-hour cruises to explore the hidden bays on the Atlantic side of Caldey Island. Two highly qualified and experienced local guides share an in-depth knowledge of the island’s wildlife and surrounding waters. Passenger safety, comfort and enjoyment is our No. 1 priority!
Oceanside of the island we drift amongst the Grey Seal population.
Caldey & St. Margarets Islands Cruise
A 1-hour 15-minute passage, taking in some of Pembrokeshire’s most dramatic offshore islands. Cruise the famous pirate Paul Jones’s bay now frequented by the local seal colony before crossing to the protected bird reserve of St. Margarets Island. The Imposing Cathedral Caverns loom in the distance, towering over the boat as she draws closer. At the base of these caverns, you can view thousands of resident and visiting birds, including puffins, razorbills, cormorants and gannets.
The Boat – Island Ranger
Licensed by the Maritime Coastguard Agency, she has three viewing decks, plenty of walkabout space, a large covered cabin and two w/c’s. This purpose-built catamaran was designed for cruising coastal waters in comfort and getting our passengers to the good bits in style.
Available throughout your trip is a selection of drinks from our fully stocked and licensed bar – teas, coffees, soft drinks and snacks.
Sunset Cruise
July & August, select dates depending on weather, pls call for info – A 1.5 hour round trip passage down the coast and into the Atlantic Ocean to watch the sunset with a sundowner of your choice. The evening light brings a new dimension to being on the water; this is a chilled trip with an eclectic soundtrack.
We have to consider localised weather when operating, so we are unable to take bookings in advance. Please feel free to call 48 hrs in advance, and we can advise on weather and suitability for that period. Then confirm the booking on the morning of the trip just in case there have been any changes, we don’t want you to have a wasted journey.
We are proud to be guardians of the local wildlife, operating conservancy projects around the Islands. You will notice our skippers skilfully balancing your experience with the well being of the wildlife during all interactions.
Explore on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean!
