The Lifeboat Tavern has been rolling with the good times in the heart of Tenby for decades. Located in the town square, the Lifeboat is a truly nautical-themed pub with a boat-shaped bar! Superb atmosphere, lively and aimed at the slightly younger clientele but still fun with a sunny beer garden to the rear (heated at night). Dogs are allowed in the beer garden only, but if they and if do get restless, North beach and Castle beach are less than a 5-minute walk away.

Whether it's a live music evening or a rumbling belly that brings you to our doors, we're sure you'll like what you find inside. From expertly poured pints of beer to sharing plates of food, to live entertainment, to private parties, we do it all, and we do it well.

The Lifeboat Tavern kitchen is open every day, serving excellent pub grub at its finest, sharing plates and bar snacks. Bring your mates and grab a drink to wash it all down- with our variety of draught beers, cask ales and fine wines, you're sure to find something to wet your whistle after a day of discovering the sights and sounds of Tenby.

Here at The Lifeboat Tavern, we're no strangers to novel and quirky celebrations, be it a birthday, engagement, work do, or just an excuse to get your friends together. Get in touch, and we'll help you plan a party to remember.

Here's what some of our customers think of the Lifeboat Tavern:

  • Absolutely stunning food served by happy, friendly staff, great social distancing and constantly cleaning. - Sam
  • Food is absolutely amazing! Lovely pint there too; if anyone wants fish and chips, it's more like a battered shark. I've never seen such a big fish for a meal in all my life, highly recommended! Also, the burger challenge looks good. They have a win and fail board which is great to look at; even the big boys have failed it! - Mr Hobnob
  • Good food, music and bar prices were great! Lovely warm welcome feeling with lighting and real fire; I loved it. Thank you, see you next time! Xx - Clare
  • Brilliant place; I really love the screens you've put up between the booths. Felt very safe, staff couldn't do enough for you. Especially as my belt broke, and Angie came to the rescue with electrical tape! Thank you, saved our evening. We will be back and for food next time! - Jack

Just wondering do you serve scampi and chips. Couldn’t see any on your picture board.
