Description

Velfrey Vineyard is a beautiful Welsh vineyard, just a 10-minute drive from Narberth.

Velfrey Vineyard is the largest vineyard in Pembrokeshire and is home to over 4000 vines. Situated in the beautiful Lampeter Vale in the South Pembrokeshire countryside, we offer sales of our own wine, tours of the vineyard and a selection of delicious afternoon and cream teas served in our purpose-built Visitor Centre or on the slate terrace overlooking the vines. We are open on Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 5pm; pre-booking for tours is advised and for the teas is essential.

Our Grape Varieties

Pinot Noir - The classic sparkling varietal, Pinot Noir's thin skins and low tannin levels make it perfect for cooler climate conditions. Produces high quality, complex wines.

Seyval Blanc -  A white variety ideally suited to cooler climate vineyards. Capable of producing world-class, award-winning sparkling wines.

Solaris - Produces wonderful perfumed and subtly fruity wines. The low acidity and high sugars of this early ripening white grape translate into a gorgeous single varietal still white wine.

Our first wine is a traditional method of quality sparkling white wine. We plan to introduce sparkling rosé wine and a range of still wines in the near future.

Our Identity

We are a family-run vineyard and pride ourselves on our attention to every detail. The vines are planted in a clay loam, a soil type that is found in some of the world's most prestigious wine-growing regions. Pembrokeshire sunshine combined with coastal breezes will produce perfect ripening conditions and lead to wines of the highest quality.
